Hi everyone!

I'm new to both Axia College & this website. I just got done with GEN105 & COM140, and am now going through COM130 & CRT205, so any tips in those classes are most welcome!

I was in the armed forces for 8yrs, then I got out and tried to find civilian jobs that would "translate" my experience but pffft, not much luck in that department. After working for a few years & needing a break from dealing with abused children, I was finally able to be a Stay-At-Home Mom (SAHM). I found out that my GI Bill benefits will be killed off at the end of 2010, so I enrolled at Axia to get a degree before my benefits poof on me.

And now, here I am! I am a bit of a geek, which is why I decided to go into AAIT/ITS. I have had college credits as a B.S. Psychology major, but although I liked it -- it just isn't as fun or satisfying as dealing with technology & helping people in that respect.

Wow, I guess there aren't too many in AAIT/ITS? How about in AAIT in general?

Welcome to the site. I am usually a lot more proactive with the meet and greet thing, but I have been gone for a little over a month so I unable to do much with the site during that time. Now that I am back, and not going to Iraq again I will be much more active and back to working on making this site grow. I hope you find the site useful and that you visit often, if there are ever any ideas, thoughts or suggestions you have please feel free to post them as you have already. It is definitely much appreciated.

There are a few floating around here taking the various flavors of the AAIT program. I am one of them, currently in the AAIT program with no specification after it.. I actually wasn't aware at the time I registered that there were different options available for the AAIT group of courses, so I have to look into my options to nail down exactly what path I want to persue.

AAIT/ITS over here too! I'm in week 6 right now and getting through those weeks of putting info to charts with COM130, and handling CRT205 good so far. So far so good but sometimes I over think the questions when I should just keep it simple.
Don't know what week your in Mett if we are in the CRT205 together or not, I pay more attention to the DQ responses more than the names of my classmates. Either way, good to meet you all and good luck!

I'm in Week 2 of COM135 & IT205; I just finished up COM130 & CRT205. A lot of it is just trying to stop yourself from overanalyzing or else you'll end up in circles and driving yourself nuts! LOL

lol, glad to know I am not the only one that over analyzes things.. was definitely a large part of why I found CRT 205 so ummm, err... interesting

Hello everyone,
I too am in the AAIT field. I'm in week 3 of my second block of classes:Com/130 and CRT/205. I am an Army Vet who has let my G.I. bill expire. I choose this field because I have always thought computers were neat and I like helping people. I want to get into Cyber-Security to help all that I can, Lord knows we need it. I also have a tendency to over analyze things. It took me almost three hours to figure out the Visio checkpoint for this week . All i had to do was make a simple Visio diagram and save as a jpeg.

I'm working towards AAIT and I'm in my second block of classes at Axia (this is week seven). I'm currently taking CRT205 with Joy Starks and COM130 with Doug Hoffman.



I'm worked for as many years as most of you have been alive so I'm a late starter to this education thing! I just want to stay abreast of new technology and keep myself viable (after all I do have 15 more years or so before I'm retirement age of 65).



I found this sight hoping that it will be a resource to kick start me when I over think an assignment (I tend to do that) and glean some advice from others.
