My name is Sara, and I don't know where to start.

After 20+ years out of high school, I finally decided that it was time to get my life straight, and get the degree I should have pursued all those many moons ago. I registered with UOP and started my first block of courses on 9/1/08, and am now in my 7th week of GEN 105 and COM 140. It's definitely a lot harder than I remembered, but then again it could be I'm just rusty. I'm doing OK, though - I'm surviving. I just hope that this new experience for me, serves as a motivation factor for my 16 year old daughter to continue her education following the "normal" course of action.

I will say this - as the time goes by, I find myself looking forward to the day when I can say, I DID IT!!!!

Oh yeah - thank you Sean and Jesse for creating this website. This is definitely something AXIA/UOP needed in order for the students to network.

Hi Sara and welcome to the site.

As you know, we are very new. Please feel free to spread the word to your friends and classmates. I also waited to pursue higher education until I became a "30 something" and with 3 boys, work and life in general Axia/UOP was my best option to get where I wanted to go educationally. I am now in my 3rd week of COM130 and CRT205 (second block) It sure is interesting being back in the educational saddle again after all these years. I hope, in time that this site grows into a fabulous resource for all of us. Again, thanks for joining and hope you find the site both enjoyable and useful.

I too am a new student of Axia, currently taking COM 150 and CRT 205. So far, enrolling at UOP has been the best thing I have done for myself and family.

I am so glad you are here! Congrats on bettering yourself! I sure know what you mean! I will be a future student as soon as things slow down a bit. I did go to school 5 years ago for a year but as you know it seems like you have to keep educating yourself to make more. This is the best way to go to school so it is on your time. I love that! I am a stay at home mom for now so this is perfect! I also have a home based business that I am just starting up so hope that takes off too! Hope you find this site helpful and fun too! Check out the games! I love them!
