Week 5 and fallacies

Postby TammyCJmajor on Sep 30th, 2008, 12:00 pm

I am in week 5 of this class, and all I can say is WOW!! I am finding that this week is very challenging :? So I am wondering if anything helped to understand the fallacies.

John,

Thank you for that information. I am only in the second week of CRT 205 and fallacies have not come up yet...but I am sure that link will help when they do.

Make me all warm and fuzzy seeing members helping each other out already :D I may also start sticky for each class, where we can keep a ongoing list of useful information that will stay up at the top of the forum where its easily accessible. :-)

I will make a sticky topic for these types of items at the top of each class forum. Any time something useful comes along I will add it to the list within that sticky topic. Doing it per class will keep things a bit more tidy as well.

Okay, how did you post your pictures Sean and Jesse? I would like to post mine, I assume I would have to upload it but I am not entirely sure on that. John, thank you for the site. Jesse, I have been to another site for Axia and UOP students and there are sites listed for all kinds of things, maybe that will be helpful too. If you would like to you can go to the site and take a look around, the site is LOG IN TO SEE LINKS IN POSTS

Thanks Tammy,

If you want to upload an "avatar" you can go to the top navigation bar, "Control Panel" and then to "user control panel". Once there, you will see your options for your profile and other items listed on the left. Simply click on Profile, then "Edit Avatar" and you can upload one or link to one on another site.

Thank you for the resrource, I will take a look and see what it is all about. I don't want to be "just like any other site out there", but will definitely take the good and see if we can implement it.

I am in the process of making a FAQ (frequently asked questions) area, which will be a resource for all the information that is compiled. As we are very new, there will be lots to add and it will be accomplished with the help of our users.

Thanks again :)

Hi Tammy,
Thank you for the plug! The best advice I can offer anyone in CRT is to read, read again and then read. I always recommend the use of flash cards. There are many sites that offer online cards. I did mine the old fashion way....by hand. I think all that writing gave me cramps! The positive was I bought the ones that had the spiral on top so those cards went everywhere with me. I also recommend this site as a resource, it is wonderful!

Hi all,
Well I got one right in the first assignment of week 5 :( I think that I am confused when it comes to referring to a person or group, and the fact that it may look like one fallacy and another at the same time. I am really hoping to do better on Sundays assignment!!!!
