I would definitely say it was overloaded, week 5 really has a lot of content to it and I highly doubt anyone has had extreme success retaining all of it. I know I kept a few references around and used some of the links on this site further down the road as refreshers as well. I figured, after spending all that energy to learn that, why let it slip away lol

I am working on the chapter 6 exercises for this class right now for week 5. I do not understand any of the fallacies. I have looked at countless sites to see more examples, and nothing is helping me out. Anyone have any ideas of what else I can try? Please, please help!

Fallacies were a big headache! One of the things that helped when I was in that class was to go to the Critical Thinking Lab. Someone started a thread for people to post examples or their interpretations of different fallacies. Seeing how different people explained them help put a different light on them. The key to conquering fallacies is to get all of them listed, with their explanations, in front of you at once so you can pick apart what makes them different from each other. That was what worked for me anyway. Good Luck!!!

Well everyone,

I have just received the first "D" I have ever gotten in my life... I have seen them before, just never on my papers.... :o!!!! Identifying Fallacies was brutal and the answers do not make logical sense for me, thank goodness it is over!!! I only have to worry about the second fallacy checkpoint now!!! YIKES !!!!!! Thanks to everyone who tried to help... I am off to re-review and possibly sniffle a little bit over that BIG, FAT, "D" I just got... LOL !!!!
