Though this does not offer an explanation to your Sunday night issues, I did find this handy information on the ecampus...
Scheduled Maintenance
The Student and Faculty website (LOG IN TO SEE LINKS IN POSTS) and the Online Learning System (OLS) will have limited availability due to scheduled maintenance on the dates and times listed below.
Scheduled updates to the learning environment for Students and Faculty members will be implemented every Friday from 12:30 AM to 6:30 AM. We thank you for your patience during this time.
Maintenance is scheduled on the first and third Saturday of each month. The scheduled maintenance period is from Saturday morning at 12:30 AM until 6:30 AM (Arizona / MST). The actual duration of the maintenance may not be exactly as scheduled.
The next scheduled maintenance is:
Saturday, November 15, 2008, 12:30 AM until 6:30 AM
The Exercise Central section of the Axia College Writing Resources Web Site undergoes maintenance by Bedford St. Martin's technical support every Friday night, starting at 9:00 PM MST and normally lasts a few hours. Under some circumstances, maintenance may last until 7 AM MST.
I would assume that the slower loading times on Sundays are due to 1) it is the last day to post DQ responses, 2) assignmets are due that day, and 3) new classes start every Monday so students may be "checking out" their new classes. The potential higher traffic on the servers, may contribute to the Sunday SNAFU. Just my thoughts...
