COM220 Course Materials

Postby christina253 on Dec 4th, 2008, 6:00 pm

I am trying to locate the syllabus and materials for the COM220 Research Writing class. I was originally scheduled to begin the class in December but had to adjust my schedule to take the classes from January through the beginning of March so I could be out of classes during the end of tax season March through April (I know that January through March is busy as well hence this post) I really need to keep my fianncial aid... Unfortunately, the school does not and will not post access to the course materials until right before the class (as I have been told by my academic advisor). I really need a jump start on the material because I have absolutely no extra time during tax season.

I know this is alot to ask but by chance does anyone have the COM220 course materials and syllabus downloaded into a folder that you could zip and send to me?

Thanks

Christina

Hi Christina, and welcome to the site. I wish I could offer some helpful advice, but as you know it is against Axia/UOP policy to distribute any course materials that way. We have a pretty strict set of rules here so we can keep things on the up and up. I know what you are asking for is nowhere near the same thing as asking someone for answers to a test or quiz etc, but there are individuals from Axia/UOP/Apollo Group that peek in here quite often and I would hate to see anyone get in trouble for transmitting materials they shouldn't be.

I would try contacting your admissions advisor as well and see if there is anything they can help you out with, or Google may be your friend (not certain) but I unfortunately can't allow the posting of any materials such as that on this site.

I hope you understand, and sorry I can't help ya out.

I know that my upcoming courses are usually posted about 30 days in advance. I always have my syllabus and course calendar printed out ahead of time as well as any important appendices (i.e. Final Project). That should be plenty of time to go over what you will need to do for your upcoming course.

Hi, Christina.

I teach COM/220 at Axia. Now that facilitators may change assignments, due dates, point values and more, each 220 instructor may have a slightly different Syllabus. Many of us deduct points if assignments are posted following an outdated Syllabus from another instructor. I change assignments and DQs slightly each time I teach the course - so an earlier version of my own class may not work either.

You would be safer just waiting until the syllabus is posted for YOUR particular class. If you keep working slowly and steadily throughout the course, you should be able to complete the work and do well.

I hope this helps.:D
