Have you gotten any farther with the approval process from your instructor? In my opinion, if you can narrow your topic field down a bit, perhaps to a more specific topic within the broader overall topic, you may have better luck with it. Keep us posted

I did mine on the right to bear arms and gun control. I got an A on it and A in class. Maybe that will help

I'm assuming you're talking about the effects global warming has on the environment? This is something that you would have to persuade someone about and you can find a lot of different sites online that pertain to this topic. Once you begin to research that topic, you can usually narrow it down to what specifically you want to prove. If you go to the University Library, the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center has an entire list of controversial topics you can browse through to find what you would like to write about. You would still have to narrow your chosen topic down though.

I chose to write about bipolar disorder as I am a psychology major, and my instructor loved the idea right off the bat. Now I just have to do some extensive research and find the 5-8 sources I'm supposed to come up with this week.
